Below find a list of brothers who have served in positions of political leadership. Positions include city, state, provincial, and national positions, including those beyond the United States and Canada. Also see our list of politicians in national service, organized by position.
No list can encompass everything. For example, at the local level we list only mayors. We note territorial, state, provincial and federal supreme court judges, attorney generals, legislators, cabinet members, constitutional convention delegates, and presidential electors. State and federal political party positions and national convention delegates are also included. Sorry, we don't yet have data on Canadian party positions. We now include ambassadors. Links lead to official government biographies, including the Biographical Directory of the US Congress and Canadian Library of Parliament member listings.
Sources included Fraternity catalogues, The Phi Gamma Delta magazine, and the aforementioned government links. We also found valuable information on The Political Graveyard, an outstanding reference site. We also utilized the same position naming structure for both clarity and consistency. Thanks also to Robert Williams (Florida 1990) for suggesting this compilation.
